Admissions Policies

 1. Students transferring from Monte Vista High School. Students must be recommended by the high school counselor or principal and accepted by the DELTA Center director. The student and a parent must meet with the DELTA Center director to learn the advantages and disadvantages of transferring to the DELTA Center.
  • Students must be at least 16 years old (exceptions can only be made at the director's discretion).

  • Student's must be behind in credits and at risk for not graduating with their class. Exceptions are made only if both the high school principal and DELTA Center director agree the transfer is in the best interest of the student.

  • A minimum of three credits must be earned at the DELTA Center to earn a DELTA Center diploma.

2. Students from out of the district. The DELTA Center welcomes students age 16 and older from around the San Luis Valley on a space available basis (Monte Vista High School students receive priority for open seats). Fall enrollment is open through October 1. Enrollment for the spring semester is open during the first two weeks of the second semester. Adults (age 21 and over) may enroll at any time, on a space-available basis.



3. Students taking classes at both Monte Vista High School and the DELTA Center. Students may,with the approval of the high school counselor or principal and approval of the DELTA Center director, take some classes at one school while enrolled in the other.
